Financial Assistance To Families

 


 

 

The Society provides financial assistance to families that find themselves in tough situations due to the death of both parents, the death of a newborn child or in the case of diagnosis for Multiple Sclerosis or Tuberculosis.

Medical Assistance Benefits

If you are diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, affecting mainly young adults between the ages of 18 and 36, or Tuberculosis, a crippling disease, you can receive up to $2,500 for out-of-pocket expenses or disability.

 

Newborn child protection benefits

Provides $2,500 upon the death of a newborn child within 60 days of birth.  If both parents qualify as members, this benefit increases to $3,750.  $1,000 benefit is paid when a child is stillborn, or miscarriage occurs at least 30 weeks after conception.  If both parents qualify as members, this benefit increases to $1,500.  Available to children of Members only.

 

Assistance to orphaned children

This benefit provides monthly financial support for the children’s guardians if both parents should die.  Example: If you had three children ages 2, 4, and 6 years old and you and your spouse died, a legal guardian would receive up to $122,000.  Available to children of Members only.
